A transfer image, that is. What you see is a 3 ft by 3 ft black and white laser print with the image reversed. What I did was tape the print to my wooden painting panel, and applied wintergreen oil with a cotton ball. Then with a wooden spoon, I burnished the image onto the panel. 2 kool 4 skool!
After a couple hours of hardcore burnishing, I was able to remove the transfer sheet. And Chumbawamba, the image has been transferred.
At this point, I essentially have an enormous Paint By Number on my hands. But as you can see, I've already applied a few preliminary colors. I know from my previous paintings that three coats are required to achieve the perfect coverage.
