I love the look and feel of old 80s and 90s toys. They were so much more imaginative than the toys kids have today! I chose these pictures not only for what's in them, but for how they look: beautiful artifacts of an ancient awesome culture!
I had this Tiger Electronics Baseball Game in the late 80s. Honestly, it was kinda lame to play, but the shape and design of the game itself is really pretty sweet, like a little baseball stadium in your hands!
There were about 10 million variations of the plastic school lunchbox, and every year you got to pick out just the ONE that would be yours. Don't you love how crappy plastic things are?
Alright, so you had to be a supercool teenage girl in 1991 like Clarissa Explains It All to have this sweet, clear case "corded telephone". What a piece of art!
Riffing on Nickelodeon- this may be the coolest designed toy I can remember from the 90s. Just look at the details! It's when companies cared to use fun and imagination in their products.
Last but not least, the wonder that was Talking Battleship! What a well designed game, although you had to get pretty crafty if you were going to cheat against the computer!
